சட்டப்பேரவையில் 2023-24-ம் நிதி ஆண்டுக்கான பட்ஜெட்டை நிதி அமைச்சர் பழனிவேல் தியாகராஜன் நாளை காலை 10 மணிக்கு தாக்கல் செய்கிறார். பேரவையின் இந்த ஆண்டுக்கான முதல் கூட்டம் கடந்த ஜன.9-ம் தேதி ஆளுநர் ஆர்.என்.ரவி உரையுடன் தொடங்கியது. தொடர்ந்து, சில நாட்கள் பேரவை நடைபெற்றது. இந்நிலையில், தமிழக அரசின் 2023-24-ம் நிதி ஆண்டுக்கான பொது பட்ஜெட் பேரவையில் நாளை (மார்ச் 20) தாக்கல் செய்யப்படுகிறது.

அதைத் தொடர்ந்து, நிதி அமைச்சர் பழனிவேல் தியாகராஜனுடன் நடைபெற்ற ஆலோசனைக் கூட்டங்களிலும், நிதி மேம்பாட்டுக்கான பல்வேறு புதிய திட்டங்கள், வழிமுறைகள் குறித்து முதல்வர் ஸ்டாலின் ஆலோசனை நடத்தியுள்ளார். இதுதொடர்பான அறிவிப்புகளும் பட்ஜெட்டில் இடம்பெற வாய்ப்பு உள்ளது.

Finance Minister Palanivel Thiagarajan will present the budget for the financial year 2023-24 in the Legislative Assembly tomorrow at 10 am. The first meeting of the Assembly for this year started on January 9 with Governor RN Ravi's speech. Following this, a meeting was held for a few days. In this case, the Tamil Nadu government's general budget for the financial year 2023-24 will be presented in the assembly tomorrow (March 20).

Finance Minister Palanivel Thiagarajan will present this in electronic form ('e-Budget') tomorrow at 10 am. After this, there will be an official review committee meeting under the chairmanship of the council president M. Appavu. In this, the representatives of the parties including the ruling party and the opposition party will participate. The meeting will decide and announce the number of days to hold the assembly meeting for the discussion on the budget. After the DMK came to power, a separate budget has been presented for the agriculture sector since 2021. Accordingly, Agriculture Minister MRK Panneerselvam is going to present the Agriculture Budget on 21st. Following this, there is a possibility that the assembly meeting will be held for 4 days on 23rd, 24th, 26th and 27th. Then, the members will discuss the budget.

The Finance Minister will respond to the members' discussion on the closing day. Also, the Finance Minister presents the Final Supplementary Estimates for this financial year. During the assembly elections, the DMK manifesto announced a scheme to provide Rs 1,000 entitlement per month to heads of households. The scheme is to be announced in the budget. Apart from this, many new projects have been announced. Earlier, in a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Stalin on the 9th, approval was given to allocate funds for new projects and many projects already in operation.

Following this, Chief Minister Stalin held consultations with Finance Minister Palanivel Thiagarajan on various new schemes and mechanisms for financial development. Announcements regarding this are also likely to be made in the budget.
