தென் மாவட்டங்களில் டிச.28 முதல் தட்டம்மை தடுப்பூசி

வெள்ள பாதிப்புக்குள்ளான தென் மாவட்டங்களில் 15 வயதுக்குட்பட்ட குழந்தைகள் மற்றும் சிறாருக்கு வரும் வியாழக்கிழமை (டிச.28) முதல் தட்டம்மை ரூபெல்லா தடுப்பூசி செலுத்தப்படும் என்று பொது சுகாதாரத் துறை அதிகாரிகள் தெரிவித்துள்ளனா்.

மிக்ஜம் புயல் மற்றும் பெரு மழையால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட சென்னை, செங்கல்பட்டு காஞ்சிபுரம் மற்றும் திருவள்ளூா் மாவட்டங்களில் தட்டம்மை ரூபெல்லா தடுப்பூசி செலுத்தும் முகாம் ஏற்கெனவே தொடங்கி நடைபெற்று வருகிறது. இதுவரை 3.80 லட்சம் சிறாா்கள், குழந்தைகளுக்கு தடுப்பூசி போடப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்த நிலையில், தென் மாவட்டங்களிலும் முகாம்கள் நடத்த நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

இதுகுறித்து, பொது சுகாதாரத் துறை அதிகாரிகள் கூறியதாவது:

 பெரு மழையால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட திருநெல்வேலி, தூத்துக்குடி, தென்காசி, கன்னியாகுமரி ஆகிய மாவட்டங்களில் மருத்துவ முகாம்கள் நடத்தப்பட்டு, 15 வயதுக்குட்பட்டோருக்கு தட்டம்மை ரூபெல்லா தடுப்பூசி செலுத்தும் பணி வரும் வியாழக்கிழமை தொடங்கும். மொத்தம் 8 லட்சம் சிறாா்களும், குழந்தைகளும் அங்கு உள்ளனா். 

மத்திய அரசு 10 லட்சம் தவணை தட்டம்மை தடுப்பூசிகளை வழங்கியுள்ளது. எனவே, போதிய எண்ணிக்கையில் அவை இருப்பு உள்ளன என்று அவா்கள் தெரிவித்தனா்.

Measles vaccination from Dec 28 in southern districts

Officials of the Public Health Department have said that children and minors under 15 years of age in the flood-affected southern districts will be vaccinated against measles and rubella from Thursday (Dec. 28).

In Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram and Tiruvallur districts hit by Cyclone Mikjam and heavy rains, the measles rubella vaccination camp has already started. So far 3.80 lakh children have been vaccinated. In this situation, steps have been taken to conduct camps in southern districts as well.

In this regard, Public Health Department officials said:

  Medical camps will be conducted in the districts of Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Tenkasi and Kanyakumari which were affected by heavy rains, and the work of giving measles rubella vaccination to children below 15 years of age will begin on Thursday. A total of 8 lakh minors and children are there.

The central government has provided 10 lakh doses of measles vaccines. Therefore, they are available in sufficient numbers, they said.
